1. What This Website Is
Washington Criminal History is a private reference site with no government connection. It neither stores official criminal records nor retrieves reports, performs official checks, or files paperwork for visitors.
Its function is to identify relevant custodians and tools. Those sources include Washington State Patrol, Washington courts, the Department of Corrections, the Washington Sex Offender Public Registry, and the sheriffs and courts serving Washington's 39 counties. Official access remains subject to the Washington Public Records Act, chapter 42.56 RCW, court rules such as GR 31, and criminal-history dissemination limits in chapter 10.97 RCW.
2. Rules for Using This Site
Each visitor agrees not to:
- Interfere with access by slowing, overloading, or disrupting the service
- Use a bot, scraper, crawler, or other automated process against the pages
- Attempt to enter a system or account without authorization
- Use any information to threaten, stalk, intimidate, or harass a person

3. No Harassment, Stalking, or Discrimination
No visitor may use information from Washington Criminal History or a linked service to harass, stalk, threaten, intimidate, or unlawfully discriminate. Registry information warrants particular care. RCW 4.24.550 permits Washington's risk-based community notification, while threats, stalking, vandalism, assault, and harassment remain subject to applicable criminal and civil law. The Washington Sex Offender Public Registry exists for lawful safety awareness, not vigilantism or blacklisting.

Washington Criminal History is not a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA and does not create consumer reports, credit reports, or background checks. Its advertising partners do not offer tools here for regulated screening. Information from the website or a linked feature must not be used to:
- Set insurance eligibility, coverage, or premiums
- Decide creditworthiness or lending eligibility
- Evaluate an applicant for employment
- Screen a renter or other housing applicant
- Determine eligibility for a license, permit, or government benefit when the FCRA applies
- Make any other decision regulated by the FCRA
A regulated background check must be obtained through an authorized official process or an appropriate FCRA-compliant consumer reporting agency, with all required permissions and procedures.

Links may open Washington agency websites, court portals, county offices, legal-aid resources, or outside search services. Washington Criminal History does not control an external site's availability, price, content, privacy practices, or terms. Review the destination's conditions before using it.
8. Intellectual Property
Text, graphics, logos, and code belong to Washington Criminal History or the applicable content partner. They may not be copied, modified, distributed, or used to create derivative material without prior written permission.
9. Limits on Our Liability
